What Information Is Needed For A Replacement Part?
The starting information may be a drawing, an existing component or measurements from the equipment. The condition of a damaged sample can make some dimensions unreliable, so the client should identify mating parts, mounting points and functional requirements. Prepare A Fabrication Enquiry
Provide enough detail for our workshop to assess material, processes and fit:

Separate Fabrication From Engineering Approval

When A Sample Is Not Enough
A worn or fractured component may no longer represent its original dimensions. Welding repairs, corrosion or deformation can also hide the intended geometry. In those cases, measurements may need to be taken from the equipment, mating components or an approved drawing. We will not invent critical dimensions simply to complete a quote.
The client should also identify whether the part is replaceable fabricwork or part of an engineered system. A guard, platform connection or load-bearing component may require design information and approval beyond workshop fabrication. Clarifying this boundary protects the repair process and ensures that fabrication proceeds against an authorised scope.
Surface treatment and finishing should be specified rather than assumed. If the client or another contractor will paint, galvanise, polish or otherwise finish the part, that handover should appear in the scope and delivery requirements.
